Louise and Richard’s Minstrel Court Wedding Photography
As a wedding photographer based in the Home County of Hertfordshire, I was really excited when Louise and Richard booked me for their Minstrel Court wedding photography. The Hertfordshire wedding venue is only a short distance from where I live in Hitchin. But it’s very rare that I’m booked to photograph weddings so close to home. My documentary style of wedding photography appeals to couples all over the UK and Europe, so I’m often at venues a good distance away. I started the day with Louise’s preparations at The George in Baldock, whilst Rex headed over to Minstrel Court to photograph Richard and the guys getting ready. One thing that struck Rex immediately was the abundance of carefully folded paper Cranes all over the wedding venue. They feature in a lot of the photography, and we later discovered that Louise had been diligently making them for several months before the wedding day!
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at the Lake Pavilion
The ceremony was held in the outdoor Lake Pavilion – a superb venue for a Summer Outdoor ceremony. The weather was good to us and provided some good strong sunlight that we could use in the photography. After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed the weather round the well stocked lake, while we did some very quick family group photos allowing the bride and groom to get back to spending time with their family and friends. The wedding breakfast was held in the garden marquee where we were treated to some very entertaining speeches. There was then Ice Cream and games out on the lawn while the room was prepared for the first dance.
