Alps Wedding Photography
Rhea and Will booked me for their Alps Wedding Photography after searching for a documentary wedding photographer. They live in Switzerland and were planning a beautiful ceremony and party at the Alpage Hotel in Megeve, France. They value natural, unposed photography, so my style of wedding photojournalism was a perfect fit for their relaxed day. Couples who value photography, but don’t want to spend hours away from their family and friends during a photoshoot, get the most out of documentary wedding photography. I use 20 years experience as a photojournalist at The Times newspaper in London to tell beautiful stories on wedding days. By hiring a photojournalist from the UK, couples based in other parts of the world can be sure of high quality photography based on years of Fleet Street experience.
Wedding Pictures in the Mountains
My coverage began at the Alpaga Hotel where both sides of the Bridal party were getting ready in separate chalets. It’s a gorgeous hotel, set in the heart of the French Alps, and a stunning location for a family gathering. Sadly the Summer sun eluded us, and we had some typical mountain weather, meaning most of the day was spent dodging the rain indoors. After the ceremony it cleared up long enough to make some couple portraits outside, before everyone headed back in for the wedding breakfast and party. Later in the evening it was clear gain so guests could release some Chinese lanterns into the Alpine night.
