Wedding Photographers In Bath
Sabrina sent me an email, around a year before her wedding date in August, to check my availability. She and James were planning their wedding in Bath. I didn’t need to explain how I worked, or the kind of images I produce because she’d already seen the photography from her friends DJ and John’s London same sex wedding. We’d also briefly met at another wedding, when I photographed their friends Will and Veneta’s wedding. So I was really pleased when she booked me, and Rex and I travelled sown to the South West to be their wedding photographers in Bath.
A Wedding In The South West
Well I say travelled down to the South West, and for me, based in Hertfordshire it was quite a drive. That’s not unusual though – around half of my clients don’t get married in or near London. It was a little easier for Rex though, who used to live in Bath, and is now based down in Exeter. While he headed over to capture James and the groomsmen having a quick pint before the church ceremony, I headed over to James’ Dad’s house to document the final stages of Sabrina getting ready.
Somerset Church Wedding
We met up again at St Mary’s Church in Claverton where Sabrina and James’ friend Ash would conduct the ceremony. It’s a pretty special church, with plenty of history. Together with the vicar being a personal friend, this promised to be a memorable wedding day (see if you can spot Ash on the dance floor later in the day!). After the ceremony, the newly-weds made the short journey to the house by car, while the rest of the wedding guests got to ride in a trailer pulled by a tractor through the Somerset lanes.
We’d been lucky with he weather up until this point, but sure enough, the rain came down as we all got to the marquee for the drinks reception. Not that that dampened the day! The meal and speeches soon gave way to the dancing, where the party was in full swing by the time our coverage ended. If you’re looking for wedding photographers in Bath and like this kind of documentary photography, please get in touch to check my availability. Or why not check out this Marquee wedding in Dorset, or perhaps another rainy wedding at Wasing Park.[/vc_column_text]
