Wedding at Chelsea Town Hall and The Gore Hotel
Emma and Ruth booked me for their Summer wedding in Rye last June. Sussex is a fabulous county to get married in, and I was excited to be back at Rye Town Hall again. Circumstances change though, and we were soon looking at a more intimate London wedding in the New Year. Now, January is probably the busiest month of the year for wedding photographers, in terms of newly engaged couples getting in touch and meetings etc. But it’s rare for me to book more than two or three weddings that month, so I was delighted to be available on the date they’d booked their wedding at Chelsea Town Hall!
19th Century Luxury Hotel
I started my coverage at The Gore Hotel in Kensington. The luxury 19th Century hotel made a classy start to the photography. I was fortunate to be shooting with Joe, so we alternated between the rooms. Just before Ruth left, they spoke some vows through the door, an emotional moment that made some powerful images. Then we hopped into some London Taxi’s for the short journey over to Chelsea Town Hall for the wedding ceremony.
Chelsea Pensioners as Wedding Witnesses
With it being Chelsea, there’s nothing more fitting than having some Chelsea Pensioners witness your wedding! After the ceremony they flanked the doorway as the newly-weds walked down the steps through confetti. The transport from the ceremony had been kept secret from the guests, so there was much delight as Brigit’s Bakery bus turned up. It’s a fabulous conversion of a London Routemaster, with tables set for afternoon tea, whilst the guests enjoy a tour of London. Before long, we’d arrived back at The Gore where Emma and Ruth cut their wedding cake and the celebrations continued.

OMG! These are Fab!! I love them! Amazing pictures of a wonderfully memorable day!! Big congrats to Emma and Ruth, for allowing us to be apart of it. Although Paul your a man of steel who didn’t break under questioning about the reception .
Superb photos and variety especially considering it’s winter and they are mostly indoors.
