An Autumn Essendon Country Club Wedding
Laura and Gio’s Essendon Country Club wedding always promised to be a fun one to photograph! An Autumn wedding in a fantastic barn in the grounds of Essendon golf club in Hertfordshire, complete with Israeli dancing – there promised to be lots of opportunity for some great documentary wedding photography. We headed over to the luxury Sopwell House Hotel in nearby St Albans to catch the final preparations with Laura first though. The preparations were in one of the Mews Suites, the perfect place for a relaxing few hours before the wedding ceremony.
A Jewish Wedding in a Hertfordshire Barn
We then made the short drive over to Essendon Country Club to await Laura’s arrival for the Jewish wedding ceremony. I’ve worked with wedding Rabbi Paul Glantz a few times before, so knew we’d be in safe hands for a super ceremony. After the cries of Mazel Tov! the rest of the celebrations began, with the superb high rafted barn providing the perfect backdrop for the Israeli dancing. We also got some gorgeous Autumn light and made the most of it for some portraits of the newly-weds out in the open of the beautifully kept golf course at Essendon Country Club.
A Wedding Party To Remember
As a documentary wedding photographer, my photography depends on what’s happening in front of me. Happy couples and guests having a fantastic time at their wedding makes great wedding pictures! Laura and Gio’s family and friends did not disappoint here, and the high energy dancing and general feeling of enjoyment comes across in the photography. It really was a pleasure to be part of the wedding, and I hope this shows in our photography.
