A Beautiful Hampshire Wedding
I knew this Lainston House wedding would be a great day to photograph when Veronica and Ilia first made contact to see if I was available. They started their search by making plans around my availability. When couples do this, it always amazes me. They place such a high regard on my photography, that finding an available venue fits around my availability! I was booked for their Lainston House wedding photography.
Perfectly Planned Wedding
Another reason I knew this would be a special day, is because they commissioned superb wedding planning company Louise Perry Weddings to organise the whole affair. I’d previously worked with Louise and Natalie on Hannah and Simon’s Harpenden wedding photography a couple off years ago, and knew what a thoroughly professional service they provide. This Lainston House wedding was of course no exception, and the whole day ran smoothly and elegantly, with only one exception.
Eric the Owl
And that was Eric the Owl. During the outdoor ceremony, Eric was to deliver the rings. At the appropriate time in the ceremony, Ilia produced a professional looking leather glove and turned back down the aisle where Eric and his handler had appeared. After a little coaxing, Eric took flight and for the first few seconds all looked promising. Halfway down the aisle, Eric decided to take a detour. He shot up to the top of a tree, taking the essential wedding rings with him!
Plan B involved some hastily found substitute rings. So the ceremony continued, while Eric looked on from 30 foot above the proceedings.

Of course the rest of the day went without a hitch, and my coverage continued through to the dancing in the evening. Scroll down for some of my favourite images from the day. Please get in touch if you’ve enjoyed this natural photography.
