Buxted Park Hotel Wedding Photography
Buxted Park Hotel has to be at the top of the list for couples looking for a great Sussex venue for their wedding celebrations. The weather and light couldn’t have been any better for Kayleigh and Ross’ wedding day there in late May. The Country House setting surrounded by fine English countryside provided the best background for their family and friends for the day. The elegance of the Palladian mansion, complete with chandeliers and stunning fireplaces really makes for a unique setting for Buxted Park Hotel wedding photography.
Sussex Country House Wedding
The day started with Kayleigh’s preparations upstairs, while Ross and the groomsmen were gathering downstairs. There was good light in the bedrooms, and plenty going on with the bridesmaids and some children getting ready too. These kind of busy situations always make great pictures, especially with the kind of relaxed wedding photojournalism that I specialise in. Once ready, Kayleigh and her Father made their way down the impressive stairway for the wedding ceremony in the Coat of Arms and Crystal Bar.

After the ceremony, the newly-weds walked outside through the confetti and enjoyed the first moments of married life. The weather and light was great, and the guests enjoyed drinks and canapés on the lawn while we did some very quick family group photos. By the time the meal and speeches had finished, there was some superb golden light for the guests to enjoy. The Ballroom then hosted the cake cutting before Soul Treasures kicked off the evening with the first dance.
