Wedding Photos at The Vineyard Hotel

Rachael and Carl got in touch last Summer to book me for their wedding photos at The Vineyard Hotel in Stockcross. I’d not photographed at this super Berkshire hotel before, and once I’d had a look through the hotel’s website I knew it would be a great place for my kind of story-telling photography. It’s a luxury, 5 start hotel and spa that puts the emphasis on fine wine and dining. Rachael and Carl are based in the North, but had visited the hotel before and fell in love with it. It’s easy to understand why with a superb wedding team and catering department!

Bride and Groom Preparations

I started the story with Rachael and her bridesmaids who were mid-way through their preparations when I arrived. They’d been staying at the hotel for a few days before the wedding day so Carl was just down the corridor getting ready at the same time. This gave me the opportunity to shoot some pictures with him as well – it’s always a great way to start a wedding album with preparation photos from both sides. He was joined by Jack and Buddy, their delightful dogs who had been made very welcome at the hotel by all the staff!

Perfect Wedding Breakfast

Rachael was escorted to the ceremony by her Dad, and her son was Carl’s best man and responsible for the safe keeping of the rings. Guests then enjoyed some canapés and drinks before returning for the superb wedding breakfast. Each course was paired with the perfect wine, selected from The Vineyard’s extensive wine cellar. We had time for some group photos on the lawn and some couple portraits before the superb Robert Fox entertained with his magic and mind reading skills! After the First Dance, the evening drew to a close with a fireworks display before my coverage ended.
