Dulwich College Wedding Photography
Check out the highlights video above from Rosie and Jon’s Dulwich College wedding photography – you can instantly see what a superb, fun filled day this was, despite the unseasonal rain shower just as the newly-weds left The Old Library at Dulwich College. My day started earlier just over the road from Dulwich College at Rosie’s parents house where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids. The wedding party later that day was to be in a marquee in the gardens, which was just having the finishing touches applied as we walked the short distance to Dulwich College for the wedding ceremony.
Wedding in The Old Library
Jon and the groomsmen had already been greeting guests as they arrived at The Old Library for the wedding ceremony. It’s a new wedding venue for me, and I loved the style and history of the red-bricked building. Inside, the high ceilings and wood panelling give a nice calm atmosphere. The ceremony was memorable for it’s superb musical content, as well as a series of short speeches from family and friends. It was only as Rosie and Jon came to leave the building that we noticed that the weather had turned. It was a passing, early Summer shower, so umbrellas were deployed, and everyone headed across the road to the marquee for the drinks reception.
Marquee Wedding in Dulwich
The grounds to Rosie’s parent’s house made the perfect setting for a garden wedding. It made my job as a documentary wedding photographer nice and easy as guests explored the gardens, and gave me a great backdrop for the family group photos as well as some portraits as guests were seated for the wedding breakfast. After the meal and speeches, the party got going on the dance floor. As dusk fell, the Photo Booth outside was starting to get some use and conversation was flowing around the fire pit.
