Summer Wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst
Jade and Jody’s Summer wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst really was a corker of a day! It’s a great wedding venue that I’ve been to a few times before, and David and I were really looking forward to working there again. The morning started out with Jade’s preparations at the pub for me, while David stuck with Jody who was getting ready a few doors away. There was a pretty emotional moment when Jade read Jody’s wedding day note to her which resulted in some quick emergency make-up re-application. They then planned to have a ‘first look’ before the ceremony, so we all joined up on the stairs to capture that before everyone headed off to the church.
Wedding at St Mary’s Church Ticehurst
Ticehurst is a stunning Sussex village, and St Mary’s church over the road from The Bell is a great church for a wedding. I was here only a few months ago for Rebecca and Mark’s Summer wedding in Ticehurst and it was great to be back. After a lovely ceremony, we did some quick family group photos in the churchyard before heading back to The Bell for the wedding reception.
Red Carpet Entrance in the Stable With A Table
There’s loads of great things about a Summer wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst, from the quality country pub feel, to the super Assembly Hall upstairs, but it’s the Stable With A Table that’s most memorable. It makes a great location for a drinks reception, or the wedding speeches, but really comes into it’s own for a confetti entrance from the newly-weds. A few well placed confetti cannons and a room full of lovely guests made this an entrance to remember! After that, we headed back out into the heat to enjoy some drinks and canapés in the beautiful gardens behind the pub. Guests were entertained by magician and mind reader Neil Edwards before heading back in to the Assembly Room for the wedding breakfast and dancing. It was a pretty good party later on, with The Hot Shots getting everyone up on the dance floor.

I should definitely say that the entire wedding pictures are truly best. Wedding photography plays an important part in such family gatherings.
