Summer Wedding at Barham Court
This was one hot, bright, sunny day in Kent – the perfect weather for a Summer wedding at Barham Court for Jenny and Mark’s superb day. I started my coverage with Jenny and her parents at home where she was getting ready. Things were pretty relaxed, and before long I headed out into the Summer heat to join Mark at St Mary’s Church in nearby Bishopsbourne where he was greeting the guests arriving. Great weather for a wedding is not necessarily great light for a photographer!
Strong Light at a Summer Wedding
It can be a little tricky photographing in the kind of light you get on a hot, cloudless Summer day. But knowing how to use the light means it’s possible to still make beautiful photos no matter what conditions are like. There was some relief from the heat and harsh shadows in the beautiful 13th Century St Mary’s church during the wedding ceremony, before everyone headed off to nearby Barham Court where an English Tea greeted guests.
Marquee Wedding Reception
There’s some beautiful gardens at Barham Court, and we made good use of them for the portraits, before heading to a marquee set up nearby for the wedding breakfast and party. All in all a super Summer wedding at Barham Court which was a lot of fun to photograph – check out the highlights slideshow above.
