Wedding Photos at The Missing Sock
Nic and James discovered my photography on the super This Is Reportage site before commissioning me for their wedding photos at The Missing Sock near Cambridge. Nic’s initial enquiry said they were looking for ‘amazing, strong reportage images’ of their wedding, so I knew we’d be a perfect fit. This Is Reportage highlights unposed wedding photography, with the emphasis on storytelling in a natural way, and this is exactly what I do.
Quirky and Relaxed Wedding Venue
I’ve not photographed at a venue quite like The Missing Sock for a while, and it was refreshing and a lot of fun! It describes itself as ‘a quirky and relaxed venue for weddings’ and really does live up to that description. The venue is colourful and has a festival vibe. Even on a dark Autumn day, there’s a lot of colour and joy around the place. Before the outdoor ceremony began, I knew there was going to be a lot of moments to photograph throughout the day.
Shaman Wedding Ceremony
The Outdoor Shamanic wedding ceremony was held by one of Nic’s closest friends and was a beautiful way for Nic and James to celebrate their relationship. Afterwards, guests made use of the outdoor space, while we got some quick group photos done, before heading inside for the wedding breakfast and speeches. Later in the evening, there was a glitter bar, dancing in the marquee and karaoke on the double-decker bus. All in all, a really fun day to photograph! Check out the highlights slideshow above, and if you were a guest at this wedding, you can register here to get invited to view the full gallery when it’s ready.
What a colorful wedding. I love it!
