Winter Wedding at Albert's Standish
Winter Wedding at Albert’s Standish
Alisha and Alex planned their Winter wedding at Albert’s Standish in only a few weeks, and I was delighted when they got in touch about their wedding photography. Alex is a keen photographer himself, and was familiar with my wedding photography through my Instagram account and photos published here on the blog. It’s great when couples are already familiar with my photography, either from following what I post, or when they’ve been a guest at a wedding I’ve photographed before. Either way, it means that they love unposed, documentary photography, and I know their wedding will be a lot of fun to photograph.
Ceremony at The Lodge in Mesnes Park
I started with Alisha’s preparations with her Mum and Bridesmaids at The Wrightington Hotel & Health Club. There was a great atmosphere during the preparations, and I left as Alisha’s Dad saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. Over at The Lodge in nearby Mesnes Park in Wigan, Alex was greeting guests as they arrived for the wedding ceremony at The Lodge. Set in the award-winning surroundings of Mesnes Park in Wigan, it provides the perfect space for some family group photos after the ceremony.
Winter Wedding Photography
The evening wedding reception and meal was at nearby Albert’s Standish, a super award-winning restaurant. But the highlight of the evening took place after the drinks reception, wedding breakfast and speeches. Outside, some fire-dancers put on a stunning display for the newlyweds and wedding guests before everyone headed back inside for the First Dance. If you;re looking for a wedding photographer in Wigan or anywhere else in the UK, my fees include travel, and I’d love to hear about your plans.
