Summer Wedding at Wasing Park
I’m lucky enough to get to photography at Wasing Park several times a year. It’s a superb all inclusive wedding venue in Berkshire, not far from London. So I was happy to be there for Laura and Rory’s Summer wedding at Wasing Park, and have collected some of my favourite images together here.
Documentary Wedding Photography at Wasing Park
Because it’s an all inclusive venue, everything happens on site, so there’s no logistical worries for the bride and groom, guests or suppliers. I started my documentary photography with Laura and the bridesmaids in the bridal suite. It’s an excellent room for photography – great light, and enough room for several people to get ready without it feeling cramped. I got one of my favourite preparation pictures here, with five of the bridesmaids all helping each other with their dresses.
Outdoor Wedding Photography
For a Summer wedding at Wasing Park, there’s always the option of having an outdoor ceremony in the garden. It’s a beautiful setting, and if the weather turns there’s also the Garden Room which can quickly be prepared for a ceremony. There was no need on this day, and the wedding guests enjoyed the outdoor ceremony before heading over to the garden room for the drinks reception.
After some family group photos and portraits of the newly-weds, the wedding breakfast in the barn led into the dancing and evening party.
After seeing the preview pictures, I received this lovely message from Laura’s Father, film director Mike Slee:
“WOW!!…just peaked at the preview shots of Laura & Rory’s wedding …absolutely superb…every photograph is beautiful, stylish and has that little bit of fun, magic and charm.
You truly captured the love between Laura and Rory, the mood of the day and even the mixed bag of characters that are family and friends ….all done with such low key panache. The pictures will be treasured.
Really excellent work Paul.
Thank you very much.”
