Old Marylebone Town Hall and Quo Vardis Wedding

After several date changes and venue movements, I was pleased to be photographing Claire and Sami’s Old Marylebone Town Hall and Quo Vardis Wedding in London. With COVID restrictions still in place, the guest numbers would be limited, but a full day of photography still told a great story as you can see from the slideshow above. Photography started at Hotel Cafe Royal just off London’s Regent Street with Claire and her family. Once ready, we travelled through central London to Old Marylebone Town Hall where Sami and the rest of the guests were getting ready for the wedding ceremony.

Town Hall Wedding Ceremony

London Town Hall weddings are fantastic to photograph. There’s a great selection of Town Halls in London, from the super art deco Stoke Newington Town Hall to the superbly located Islington Town Hall on fashionable Upper Street. London weddings always provide a super setting for documentary photography, and allow you to choose another venue for the reception and party.

Wedding Reception in Soho

After Claire and Sami’s ceremony, we all travelled to Soho, meeting up at the historic Quo Vardis restaurant on Dean Street. A private dining room was set aside for the wedding breakfast later on, as well as the Marx room for drinks and canapes beforehand. The central location of Quo Vardis makes it a great venue for an intimate wedding breakfast, as well as being one of London’s many outstanding restaurants and private clubs. My coverage continued until after the welcome speeches, and I left as the wedding guests were tucking into a sumptuous looking wedding breakfast.
