Middle Temple Winter Wedding Photography
I love these kind of historic venues in London. It’s all too easy take this city for granted. I sometimes have to stop and remind myself how lucky I am as a photographer. Getting to photograph someone’s wedding is special enough. But when the setting is somewhere as historic as Middle Temple or Temple Church, it’s a real highlight of the job. I loved this Middle Temple winter wedding.
An Historic London Wedding Venue
This place has been here since the 13th century, and there’s loads of scope for finding story-telling photos. But first, there was the preparation to photograph at the nearby Apex Temple Court Hotel. Both David and Jialei were getting ready there, so I spent a little time with both sides of the wedding before making the short walk over to Temple Church. The church is part of the whole Temple area, and sits right in the heart of the complex. It’s another great venue to photograph, with great light and plenty of opportunity for great images.
Middle Temple Makes For Some Stunning Portraits
Once the ceremony was over, we walked through some of the alleys and cobbled streets to reach Middle Temple, where the drinks reception and wedding breakfast were waiting. Whether it’s a Summer wedding with guests spilling out onto the beautiful gardens, or like this, an atmospheric Winter wedding, there’s always some great pictures. And of course, the area surrounding Middle Temple makes some great backdrops for a few portraits just before the wedding breakfast.
