Asian Wedding Photos at Parklands Quendon Hall

It was a real pleasure shooting Susha and Rishi’s Asian wedding photos at Parklands Quendon Hall. I’d already photographed their civil ceremony earlier in the year in Cambridge and it was great to see them and their families again for this Indian wedding celebration at the superb Parklands at Quendon Hall. I had some great company too, with Emil joining me to photograph Rishi’s preparations and the ceremony with me as well as talented videographer Aaron from Reel Weddings.

Once Susha was ready, we headed off to Parklands Quendon Hall in Essex. It’s a superb exclusive use venue that I’d last visited for Anisa and Yusuf’s outdoor wedding a few weeks earlier. The 17th century Georgian manor house is a great setting for a wedding party, with gorgeous grounds and accommodation. It’s large enough to accommodate over 400 people for a ceremony in the Pavilion, which is where Susha and Rishi’s Mandap was. always, the Hindu wedding ceremony was full of action to photograph, with the koda kodi, or wedding games, at the end of the ceremony a favourite part to photograph.

First Dance at Parklands Quendon Hall

After the ceremony, Emil continued the documentary photography with the guests while we got some quick family group photos done under the Mandap. After lunch, the newly-weds headed off to one of the cottages on the estate to prepare for the evening reception. Guests soon returned for canapes followed by dinner and the speeches. Finally, no Indian wedding photos at Parklands Quendon Hall would be complete without the First Dance, and Rishi and Susha didn’t disappoint here. The evening party got underway, and our coverage came to an end.
