The George in Buckden Wedding
The George Hotel in Buckden, Cambridgeshire, is a fabulous wedding venue. Especially if you’d like to take over the whole hotel for your celebrations. Which is what Rachael and Adam did for their Winter Wedding in November. The former Coaching Inn is licensed for Civil Wedding Ceremonies, so it’s the perfect place for keeping everything under one roof.
I started my coverage with Rachael’s preparations which were fun and lively with the bridesmaids and flower girl. A tear was shed by Rachael’s Father as he saw how stunning she looked in her wedding dress. The ceremony went without incident. Despite Adam’s fear of the dress catching fire from one of the candles lining the aisle!
Wedding Family Photography in the Winter
We braved the chill outside for some brief family group pictures and some couple portraits. Then everyone headed back into the warmth for the evening meal and speeches. My coverage ended shortly after their first dance. And I left clutching a bottle of Sloe Gin, one of the many details made by Rachael and Adam for their guests.
Here’s a selection of some of my favourite photos from The George in Buckden wedding, and you can read a little more about the day as their wedding was featured in The Times register section.
Winter wedding photography can be pretty tricky, be sure you’re booking a wedding photographer well versed in low light wedding photography. Have a look at some more of my winter photography here.
