A Fine London Hotel Wedding Venue
The Corinthia Hotel is one of London’s finest hotels and an amazing venue for a wedding. It oozes quality, and with it’s unrivalled central London access provides family and guests with an unforgettable wedding day. This Corinthia Hotel wedding promised to deliver some great photographs. It was a little noisy as I arrived to photograph Hui’s preparations before the ceremony. A loud but peaceful Trade Union march was passing nearby on Embankment by The Thames. It’s these little things that make London venues so exciting – right at the heart of one of the busiest capitals in the World, almost anything can happen.
Getting The Lighting Right
Between photographing Hui and Jing getting ready, I had a quick look at the ceremony room and the Ballroom. That’s where the party would be later that evening. I already knew that flowers were an important part of the wedding decorations for Hui and Jing, and the displays didn’t disappoint. The colour purple was also to be a big theme of the day. Starting with the bridesmaids dresses, but also heavily influencing the ambient lighting during the reception. While this can play havoc with digital cameras, knowing how to use this light in a positive way helps convey some of that ambience in the final images.
Stunning Ballroom for a Corinthia Hotel Wedding
After a beautiful ceremony in The Courtroom, we headed outside for some group photos and a quick portrait session. The reception began later in the Ballroom with speeches and the meal, leading into a fantastic first dance which looked great in the elegant ballroom.
