Thorpeness Country Club Wedding Photography
Wow! What a fun filled wedding this was to photograph! T and M commissioned me last year for their Thorpeness Country Club wedding photography, and I knew from the first call we had that there would be a lot for David and I to photograph. They’re a happy, fun loving couple, and had planned a great celebration for their guests. So on a very warm May weekend, David set off to catch the groom getting ready while I headed to a wonderful sea front property called The Tower for the Bride’s preparations.
Beautiful Coastal Light
The light and space were superb, and gave me so many opportunities for some great story-telling photography. But, no matter how great the surroundings and light are, it’s really the subject matter that makes the difference when it comes to wedding photojournalism. You can only tell the story of what’s in front of you. Everyone was having such a great day, and that shows in the photography! We then headed to the Bride’s parents for some very quick pictures before heading to St Michael’s Church in Saxmundham for the wedding ceremony.
Wedding Party on the Suffolk Coast
After the marriage, all the guests headed to Thorpeness Country Club where the drinks reception was on a lawn overlooking the Suffolk coast and beach. The sun was extremely bright, but we managed the group pictures and some portraits on the beach before the wedding breakfast started. After some amusing speeches, the real fun began with a casino and ball pit helping get the party going.
