I’m delighted to have won an award on my first entry in the ISPWP (International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers) awards. This image of James reacting to the speeches at this Fulham Palace Same Sex Wedding was placed 8th in the Emotional Impact category. It’s a real honour to have an image awarded by the ISPWP – it’s a superb organisation which has very strict entry requirements. It’s not a case of simply paying membership fees – each photographers portfolio is assessed and voted on by current members. Photographers need to have photographed a minimum of 50 weddings and agree to the organisations code of conduct. This all means that couple booking a photographer from the ISPWP are hiring a talented veteran photographer with a proven track record.
