Gorgeous Cripps Stone Barn wedding photography
Are you looking for a venue for your wedding in the Cotswolds? Does it need just enough isolation to feel intimate but set amongst some of the finest English countryside? Then look no further than Cripps Stone Barn in the heart of the Cotswolds, near Aldsworth. It’s a real gem, with split level barns and an open kitchen providing a fabulous setting for your wedding photography as well as a great party. This was my first time as a Cripps Stone Barn wedding photographer, and I fell in love with the place!
Summer doesn’t always guarantee great weather for your wedding day
Booking your wedding date during a British Summer can be a bit like roulette. The weather changes so rapidly that trying to find the most likely date for a sunny day more than a year out, well, you might as well flip a coin. The day before this Cripps stone barn wedding, the week long warm spell was shattered by a country wide soaking. But nature smiled, and a blustery but sunny day arrived in time – perfect weather for great documentary wedding photography!
I started my coverage at the Stone Barn where Phil was greeting the guests as they arrived. Hannah arrived in a stunning dress incorporating some beautiful family lace. They walked into the ceremony together where they signed the register accompanied by a string trio. Outdoor games were set in the garden amidst the amazing Oxfordshire countryside which formed a fantastic backdrop for some portraits. The wedding breakfast saw platters of roast lamb delivered to an apron clad guest at each table.
