Wedding at The Queen’s College Oxford
Aisleen and Simon’s wedding at The Queen’s College Oxford was a classic Oxford wedding, with the ceremony at Oxford Town Hall followed by the drinks reception and wedding breakfast a short walk away at The Queen’s College. Photography started with Aisleen’s preparations with her Maid of Honour, Best Woman and flowergirls, before I met Simon at Oxford Town Hall where he was greeting guests as they arrived. The wedding ceremony was held in the Assembly Room which was originally the Banqueting Hall. It’s an impressive room for a wedding ceremony with it’s timber ceiling, huge oil paintings and ornate fireplace. Once married, guests took a short stroll through Oxford city centre to The Queen’s College where drinks awaited.
Family Portraits around Oxford
While the guests made their way over to the wedding reception, Aisleen and Simon walked with their two young children through the cobbled back streets where we took some lovely family photos. City centre weddings are great for capturing the hustle and bustle always present, and blending it in with the wedding photos. As with most cities on a Saturday afternoon in the Summer, there were plenty of other weddings taking place, with a passing of two newly married couples making a fun composition. Once we’d captured some portraits, we crossed the High Street and entered the calmness of the Quad at The Queen’s College.
Wedding Reception at The Queen’s College
The grounds and gardens of the College were the perfect setting for the drinks reception. Before long, guests made their way to the Hall for the speeches and wedding breakfast, and eventually the dancing. Check out Aisleen and Simon’s preview slideshow. Family and friends can pre-register here to be notified when all of the photos are ready.
