Soul Survivor Watford Wedding in the Autumn

Claire and Matt’s Soul Survivor Watford wedding came about after Covid-19 meant they couldn’t go ahead with their original plans in Spring next year. Their church wedding ceremony was always planned for Soul Survivor Watford, but originally had the wedding reception being held at Hatfield House. So many couple’s plans have faced re-scheduling this year, so it was no surprise to me that they decided to bring the ceremony forward to this year, with the hope of a larger party for their family and friends once the situation had cleared up.

Intimate Wedding Celebration in Hertfordshire

At this point for weddings in Hertfordshire, couples were allowed up to 15 guests, so plans were made for an intimate ceremony at Soul Survivor church with a small wedding lunch at the venue afterwards. My coverage started an hour or so before the ceremony with Claire’s preparations at home with her bridesmaids and page boy. I then headed on to the church in Watford to capture Matt and his family getting things ready there.

Wedding Breakfast with Afternoon Tea

The ceremony was beautiful, with lots of music. Soul Survivor has a sophisticated video set up where they were able to film the entire ceremony and broadcast it for family and friends worldwide to watch. At the end of the ceremony the newly-weds were able to greet everyone watching with a live interview, before heading outside for confetti and some family group photos. In another building, the caterers had set up a super wedding breakfast for their guests, including a great afternoon tea selection.
