Marquee Wedding in Norfolk
Here’s Becca and Matt’s superb Marquee wedding in Norfolk. Coverage started with Matt and the groomsmen on the way to the pub by tractor, and Becca’s prep at home. Getting ready at the family home always provides great documentary moments for me to capture, and Becca’s prep was no exception. Once I’d photographed Becca dressed and ready to marry Matt, I headed off to nearby St Mary’s church in Shelton, where Matt was greeting guests as they arrived.
Norfolk Church Wedding
It’s quite a magnificent red brick church, set amongst fields near Long Stratton in Norfolk. Dating from the end of the 15th Century, no expense was spared when construction began, funded by Sir Ralph Shelton, the High Sheriff of Norfolk. Becca arrived in style, driven in an open-top Land Rover by her Father. I love photographing Church weddings, and am very respectful during the ceremony. Silent cameras have made a big difference in allowing me to capture moments without disturbing guests or vicars during the ceremony. After the ceremony, the newly-weds left the churchyard through confetti, and Matt started up the Land Rover to drive the short distance back to the Marquee reception.
Garden Wedding Reception in a Marquee
Drinks and canapes were served in the garden, while Becca and Matt could circulate and greet family and friends. The marquee was set up in an adjacent field, and guests headed in for the speeches before the wedding breakfast. The Weekenders provided the music for the night, and got the dancefloor filled right after the First Dance. Check out the full story in the slideshow above.
