Autumn Wedding in Greenwich
I was really looking forward to Sarah and Rohit’s Autumn wedding in Greenwich, as it was the second time in one weekend that I’d photographed there. It’s fast becoming my favourite London wedding venue for the fantastically majestic setting by the River Thames as well as the incredible Painted Hall where the ceremony takes place.
Unique Wedding Photography
One question I sometimes get from prospective clients is whether I’ve photographed at their venue before. My answer is that for my style of honest, documentary wedding photography, where I don’t set up or ‘recreate’ any of the photographs, except the portraits, it’s really not necessary to have photographed at the venue before. In fact, it can be a bit of a hindrance. Photographers who regularly work at the same venue may find it harder to create unique photography as they can rely on the shots and locations that they know worked last time. But the best documentary wedding photographers will see the light and the guests as the most important aspects of a wedding. Those two elements are never the same at two weddings, and here is a great example of how different two weddings at the same venue can be. Have a look through these photographs from this Autumn wedding in Greenwich on the Saturday, then check out Colette and Stephen’s Painted Hall wedding photography here on the Friday before.
