Andrew Scott Portrait Session
A few weeks ago, my website had the largest spike in traffic when someone noticed an Andrew Scott portrait I’d shot in an editorial blog post, and re-posted it to tumblr. The portrait was blogged and pinned hundreds of times. I enjoyed his performance as Moriarity in the Sherlock Holmes series, but I had no idea he had such a huge fan base out there.
I photographed Andrew Scott for The Times newspaper for a preview of the new ITV drama The Town, due to air this week, Wednesday 5th December 2012. He was a pleasure to photograph. It was at the ITV building at the end of a long line of press interviews and photo shoots where he’d been trying to answer the same questions in a new way over and over again. He was a little weary, but good natured, and patient with all of my requests to adjust his pose or get the lighting right. So with his fans out there in mind, and The Town beginning this week, I thought I’d share the rest of the session with you.
I don’t mind if you want to pin or blog these portraits, all I ask is that you don’t crop the watermark off, you credit Paul Rogers as the photographer, and link back to this website if possible. Thanks.
Oh my gosh, thank you for these! Thought I’d seen all of Andrew’s images out there since I’m a huge fan (and there are thousands of pics of him, as there should be!) These are beautiful — almost as beautiful as Andrew. — well done. Thanks again…oh, and maybe you should set up another/new photo shoot w/him, almost 8 years later. He’s been gorgeous all his life, but, like fine wine, gets even better with age.
What “Callie” said.
But it’s 2021 now, so it’s been 10 years. Andrew Scott has never looked better. He’s incredibly handsome and your photographic artistry is superb, we need a new photoshoot, pronto!
