As mentioned last month, I’m one of five contract photographers at The Times newspaper, along with four staff photographers, and at the end of each month, we all submit three of our favourite images from that month for an internal competition – three are then chosen for display on the editorial floor at The Times. Over time, as budgets dictate, we have been shooting less daily breaking news photography, and concentrate instead on portraits and features.
My selection this month comes from a visit to Arlesey in Bedfordshire by Prime Minister David Cameron, the Remembrance Day service at the Lloyds Building in London, and the Gangnam Style video shot by artist Anish Kapoor in support of Al Weiwei after the Chinese authorities banned his parody of the viral video.
