I’m really pleased that three of my wedding photographs have been placed in the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association) 2012 Q1 contest, including a first prize for this image of 4 year old Imogen having her hair done at her parents Claire and Simon’s wedding at Monkton Barn Galleries in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
The judges comments were – “Great expression. What I like most is that we don’t see much of the person working on the girl’s hair—we don’t need to see any more than what the photographer gave us. The silhouette of the hands is perfect. The off-center framing cleans up what could have been a distracting background. Well done!”
