Richmond Hill Hotel Wedding Photos
Wemi and Fola contacted me about their Richmond Hill Hotel wedding photos when they realised that wedding guest numbers were about to be halved. We only had a few days notice that the number of guests would be reduced from 30 down to 15, and Wemi’s super quick planning and organisation meant theirs was the last 30 person wedding I’ve photographed. It’s fine though – no matter how few guests are there, a wedding day always has a great story. The beauty of my style of documentary wedding photography is that the photography captures great stories, no matter how short the day, or how small the gathering. Check out the slideshow above to see how this works – it’s around 100 images, and captures their day beautifully.
Portraits overlooking the River Thames
I started my coverage with Wemi at Richmond Hill Hotel where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids. There was a lot going on in a small room, always a great recipe for interesting and fun wedding photography. Fola arrived in time to greet the guests arriving for the wedding ceremony in one of the hotel’s function rooms. The ceremony was a little shorter than usual, and we were soon all gathered outside for a few family group photos overlooking the River Thames. We spent a little time after that making some quick portraits of the newly-weds, before heading back into the hotel’s ballroom for the wedding breakfast. After some speeches and fun games, my coverage came to an end. These shorter weddings are great fun to photograph, and still produce a super set of photos.]
