Getting Married at Kenwood House
I really enjoyed photographing Laura and Tom getting married at Kenwood House in North London. The English Heritage property set in the hills of Hampstead Heath is a superb setting for a wedding ceremony and reception. My coverage started earlier in the day with Laura’s preparations in North London, and by the time I arrived at Kenwood House, Tom was already greeting the wedding guests in the front courtyard as they arrived for the ceremony. There were still COVID restrictions in place, as the limited number of guests made their way through to the Music Room to wait for Laura’s arrival.
Wedding Ceremony in the Music Room
Surrounded by 18th Century portraits, a wedding ceremony in the Music Room in the West Wing of Kenwood House has a magical feel about it. Laura and Tom said their vows and signed the register before leading their guests through to the Orangery for drinks. We made some quick portraits as the guests headed around the house to the Old Kitchen where the wedding breakfast was being served.
Story-Telling in just 12 photos
Even with just 18 guests, it’s still possible to get a great set of story-telling photos that sum up the wedding day. Enjoy Laura and Tom’s highlights slideshow above with 100 images in 3 minutes, or scroll down to see how the story unfolds in just a dozen photos. You might also enjoy this Burgh House Hampstead wedding, or maybe an intimate wedding at Islington Town Hall.
