Beautiful Kensington Roof Gardens Wedding Photography
Wow, what a special venue Kensington Roof Gardens is! Such a unique place for a wedding right in the heart of London – a world away from the city streets seven floors below.
Now part of Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Limited Edition, they were the largest roof gardens in Europe when first laid out in 1936. The huge gardens take in Moorish style gardens based on the Alhambra in Spain. As well as a Tudor garden and an English woodland garden. When used for a wedding setting, there’s so much variety to use in the photography. Wedding guests have a great opportunity to explore the gardens. Maybe finding some of the resident flamingos, or just drinking in the spectacular London views at sunset.
A London Jewish Wedding
This wedding was a real treat to photograph. From the North London preparations, through the emotional ceremony. Then on to the high energy dancing that is characteristic of a fantastic Jewish wedding celebration. I was able to use the Spanish Garden for some portraits and group photographs before the guests arrived. As it was a winter wedding, the ceremony was under cover of a marquee set up over the Tudor Garden, before the celebrations moved into the Art Deco Club House.
