Scottish Castle Weddings
You may be interested to learn a little bit of Glenapp Castle history – the industrialist James Hunter commissioned Edinburgh architect, David Bryce, to design the castle in 1870. It was later owned by the chairman of P&O James Lyle Mackay, before being renovated in the 1990s by Scottish hoteliers the McMillan family. After six years of restoration, the castle re-opened and soon became one of the premier castle hotels in the United Kingdom, and one of the top wedding venues in Scotland.
Today it’s owned by Paul and Poppy Szkiler and has been a member of Relais & Châteaux since 2001.

Documentary Wedding Photography in Scotland
As a former photojournalist at The Times newspaper in London, I have been telling stories with photography for more than 20 years. I swapped Royal tours, war zones and A-list celebrities for telling couple’s wedding stories a few years ago, and have since helped more than 300 couples get the kind of stunning wedding photography you can see here.
