I’m very pleased to have had this picture places 7th in the Transportation category of the latest WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association) contest. It’s from Nicola and Joel’s New Year’s Eve Wedding at Crypt on the Green in London. It’s a super moment after the ceremony when we’re all on a double decker bus heading to the reception. Nicola’s gran has just congratulated them, and moments earlier they’d been holding hands. I photographed that, then continued to watch the moment, catching this frame seconds later. Here’s what the judges thought:
A lovely moment of the glowing bride and groom is enhanced by the incorporation of the delighted woman at left. Her expression adds interest to an otherwise common scene.
