Summer Wedding at Fulham Palace

The first Saturday of September saw me at the former Bishop of London’s residence for Lidia and Ali’s Summer Wedding at Fulham Palace. It’s a super historic venue in the heart of London and always a pleasure to capture someone’s wedding there.

Wedding Prep in London

Before I got to Fulham Palace, I started over in Kensington for Lidia’s preparations at Marriott London. She was getting ready with her two sisters and Mum before her Father drove them over to Fulham Palace for the final part of the preparations. It was a nice change having the hair and makeup completed before they all arrived at the venue and were able to dress there.

Wedding Ceremony in Bishop Sherlock’s Room

Meanwhile guests had been arriving and were ready for the ceremony in Bishop Sherlock’s room. This was the first time I’d photographed a ceremony in this room, and it was a splendid setting for the ceremony.

After the ceremony, guests made use of the courtyard for the drinks reception. It’s a great place to chat and catch up with family and friends, and we also got some quick family group photos done there too. As everyone headed off to the marquee to be seated for dinner, Lidia and Ali unlocked the gate to the gardens and we took a short time for a few portraits before heading back into the marquee for the wedding breakfast and the speeches.

After some entertaining speeches the party began back in the main palace building, and the dancing was well under way as my coverage ended.
