Luxury Wedding at Babington House

Joyce and Gus planned the perfect Luxury wedding at Babington House in Somerset. Having found the venue, they planned the whole day from their home in Hong Kong, then commissioned me to be their wedding photographer. It was the right place for a venue so unlike their home in the city. A lot of their International guests were puzzled at travelling to what seemed like the middle of nowhere, deep in the Somerset countryside. But you can see how fantastic this luxury wedding at Babington House really was.

The Luxury of Soho House in Somerset

But it doesn’t take long to discover why this is such a special place to get married. Run by the superbly professional Soho House, the country house offers the ultimate in luxury. From the surrounding countryside to the Grade I listed church in the grounds, this country house has everything needed for a stunning wedding celebration, making great documentary wedding photography.

The wedding day started with preparation for Joyce in the main house, while Gus and the guys prepared in the nearby walled garden. There was to be a Chinese Tea ceremony before the church blessing, and Gus and his groomsmen had to negotiate several puzzles and tasks laid on by the bridesmaids, before they would let him through to Joyce. There was much amusement as the best man’s leg was waxed, as well as Gus topping the human pyramid. Eventually he made it to his prize, and the Tea Ceremony began.

A Perfect Party House

Later, the blessing took place in the small, but perfectly formed Church of St Margaret in the grounds of the house. The drinks reception let into the wedding breakfast in the Orangery before the party got going in the bar. Check out the action from this stunning  luxury wedding at Babington House.
